The Kunstbeurs Heemstede (Heemstede Art Fair) started in 2012 at the initiative of Marjan Jaspers and Albert Röllich in Heemstede, a place known for its many high-quality cultural events in the field of theatre, music and visual arts. Over the course of a decade, the event has grown into a major and national event with visual artists from all over the country and abroad. There is a wide range of contemporary and traditional painting and drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics, silversmithing, glass art, graphics, textiles, assemblage, mixed media and installation art to admire. The fair is an excellent platform for artists and the place is unique for visitors and art collectors. The organization sets high standards every year and guarantees quality through an external balloting committee. The participants are professionally trained full-time artists, and besides more established artists, there is young and upcoming talent.
