All my paintings are one-off originals. I don't sell giclée prints or any other reproductions of my works because I believe that unless an artwork has been created to be reproduced and does not exist in any other format (as is the case with traditional art prints such as lithographs, screen prints, linocuts etc.), a digital reproduction devalues the painting. And takes a lot of its magic away.
How to buy my work
I invite you to buy my work either directly from me but you can also purchase it via London-based Rise Art gallery
or Vienna-based Return on Art gallery
, both of which support artists selected by expert curators.
Buying directly from artists or through smaller platforms instead of massive art marketplaces means building a relationship -- and to me, that's one of the most important aspects of selling my work. I love to meet my collectors, help them build a collection, advise on the maintenance of works, etc. Buying art is not like buying books, it's a very unique, personal experience, and I love being a part of it!
See my painting on your wall
The world has gone online but buying paintings online can be tricky, so I want to make this process as easy for you as possible. If you'd like to see how my painting would look on your wall, you can send me a photo and I'll create a visualisation for you, free of charge.
Payment & invoice
All painting prices are inclusive of VAT. Payments are taken via a bank transfer in EUR and I provide a VAT invoice. For international bank transfers I highly recommend Wise
because of their low fees, efficiency and transparency.
Works that measure 90 × 70 cm and less are shipped stretched on a frame, packed in a box and are ready to hang. Shipping prices vary depending on the collector's location.
For works larger than 90 × 70 cm, the shipping price also depends on whether the painting is shipped in a tube or a box, and how large it is. Larger works are usually taken off the stretcher and shipped in a tube, which is the cheapest shipping method, and they need to be re-stretched -- this can be done by any local framer. If you'd like your painting to be shipped in a box instead of a tube, please let me know. Please bear in mind that with paintings larger than 130 × 100 cm in order for them to be shipped on a stretcher, they must have a custom-made crate, which is an extra cost.
Each painting is impeccably packed and shipped in a sturdy box or a tube with plenty of cushioning so rest assured it will safely arrive in your home. Stretched works are fitted with hooks and wire at the back for hanging but if you'd like your painting to be framed, I'm more than happy to arrange it at an additional cost. All paintings have a small signature at the front and are signed and dated on the back.
Paintings are shipped with DPD, DHL and UPS. They are usually dispatched within 3-5 days of purchase. For large works that require a custom-made crate the dispatch time can take longer.
My paintings are unvarnished but varnish is available upon request free of charge for a gloss or satin finish. Varnish is not necessary to protect the painting and I personally prefer not to use it because its application and later removal is hazardous for the artwork. Acrylic paints are non-toxic and flexible and the painting can be dusted / cleaned gently with a soft brush or a lightly damp cloth.
The paints I use have a very good lightfastness so will resist fading when exposed to light, therefore you can hang the painting wherever you want, though ideally they should not be in a direct sunlight.
Each painting is fitted with wooden wedges in the corners of the frame at the back. The canvas has been stretched by myself and it should stay tight but in case you notice that the fabric becomes a bit loose over time, you can make it tauter by gently hammering the wedges which will expand the corners of the bars slightly.
Buying a painting is often a difficult decision and I understand that you may decide that it doesn't quite fit in your home. You can return a painting within 14 days of receipt. I will give you a full refund (provided that the painting is returned intact) minus the shipping costs.
